Assemblywoman Addie J. Russell, D-Theresa, spoke at the Jefferson Community College Health and Wellness Center's Take Back the Night event Monday evening to raise awareness about violence against women.
Russell said she was proud to stand with brave women and men who are working to end violence against women.
"There were great personal stories of survival shared throughout the night," Russell said. "Musician Travis Rocco really made the entire night so much more compelling with his vocal selections."
